F.A.Q. for sellers

How do I register an account with GT Bid?

Choose "Register" on the top right corner and fill in your first and last name, your email, and your desired password. Then read and accept our terms and conditions and click on the "Register" button.

Check your email and click the link we send you to verify your email address. As soon as your email is verified, log in to your account, fill in the necessary information, and upload the required documents. Once the information is complete, we will activate your account and you will be able to bid on the items auctioned off at GT Bid.

How do I publish my item for auction?

Once your account is activated, visit the tab “My auctions” and click on “Add a new auction”. Fill in as much information about your item as possible, write a clear and honest description of your item and set the shipping cost per continent or per country, upload your photos, and finalize your auction.

Once the auction is finalized, we will examine all the information you have provided and activate the auction when it is time to go live. In case we need any clarifications, we will get in touch.

What kind of item photographs should I upload?

Photographs are a crucial part of your auction submission. They not only help us decide the suitability of your item but more importantly they help bidders decide if and how much they want to bid on your item. Upload at least 4 good-quality photographs in a neutral background and with proper lighting. Your photos should be square with a minimum of 1000x1000 pixels.

Who pays for shipping?

That decision is up to you as a seller. You may decide to offer free shipping for some countries or worldwide, which is very attractive for buyers, or you may decide to charge for shipping. If you decide that shipping will be paid by the buyer, once the auction is over we will add the shipping cost, that you have indicated, to the winning bid and ask the buyer for payment.

When am I getting paid?

Once the auction is over, we will ask the buyer to make the payment within three working days. As soon as we receive the payment, we will let you know so that you can make arrangements to ship the item. When the buyer receives the item, we will release the payment to you within three working days. The amount you will receive is the winning bid plus the shipping cost (if applicable) minus our commission on the winning bid.

How much is your commission?
